Install LS Commerce Service

Run the setup program LSCommerce.Service.Central.Setup.4.x.exe.

The setup creates the LSCommerceService and LSCommerce database. You can run the setup multiple times, but it will override objects in the existing LSCommerce database and files for the LSCommerceService IIS service.

Select the three check boxes (see image), if you plan to use all the functionality provided by LS Commerce Server. If you are updating an existing installation, clear all check boxes. This way only the files will be updated, but the configuration will stay the same.

Note: When you are switching LS Commerce Service modes (for example single-tenant to multi-tenant), uninstall LS Commerce Service and install again with the new settings.

Installation options:

  1. Create an LSCommerce SQL Server database
    1. You must have SQL Server sysadmin rights to create a new database.
    2. This option creates a new SQL login: LSCommerceUser, password: LSCommerceUser.
    3. Use Multi-Tenant Mode enables multi tenancy. Configurations for LS Central tenants are configured on the Commerce admin portal instead of the usual AppSettings.config file (see Commerce Admin Portal (BETA Version) for more information).
    4. Use WS Mode only uses Nav web services, so LS Commerce Service will not use the LS Central database. Use this setting for Business Central hosted in the cloud.
  2. Configure LS Nav/Central SQL parameters
    1. This option is used to set the connection parameters for LS Nav/Central SQL Database.
  3. Create LSCommerceService under IIS
    1. Must run locally on the IIS machine.
    2. Creates a new Web Application called LSCommerceService.
    3. Creates a new application pool called LSCommerceServicePool. The LSCommerceService worker process runs under the identity set in this application pool.

This will create an LSCommerce Database.

Type in SQL Server and Database names for where the database will be located.

The Test SQL Create Connection button tests if the current user who is running the setup has rights to create the database.

The Test SQL Connection button tests the logon credentials provided for the SQL Connection.

Note: The LSCommerceUser is created when setup runs, so it will not be available to test during fresh setup.

SQL Server connection settings used to connect directly to LS Central Database.

IIS Web Server settings where LS Commerce Service will be assigned to.

LS Central Web Service information that LS Commerce Service uses to communicate with LS Central.
